Adopt a Waterway
Since 1990, RMA’s St. Andrew Bay Watch program has coordinated volunteer water quality monitoring to determine long-term trends in water quality and aquatic resources in the St. Andrew Bay Watershed.
The St. Andrew Bay watershed is Bay County’s most valuable natural resource. RMA’s water quality program is a community-based program that maintains continuous water quality data collection from over sixty-seven water quality monitoring stations in multiple aquatic systems (Lake Powell (Outstanding Florida Water), Powell Creek, Grand Lagoon, North Bay, East Bay, West Bay, Johnson Bayou, Crooked Creek, Burnt Mill Creek, Lake Marin, and St. Andrew Bay). The water quality data collected by RMA for over the past 29 years has been used by local, state, and federal stakeholders to manage coastal resources and help ensure safe and efficient use of these resources.
